Powerful stuff...where do we fit in society
These paintings developed from my research into newspaper photographs.
Through
observation we build up an impression of how we should behave and where we fit in
the power structures of society. The self is not
absolute or fixed but is constructed over time through the repetition of
visuals and words.

Wallpaper fit for a nun...
I just finished this piece called "Mark of Eden II". It measures 15cm x 15cm, oil on board.. The floral design is inspired by a photograph I took of wallpaper in a bedroom of an old convent which reminded me of the garden of eden.
